Head of MAN 2 Yogyakarta, Hartiningsih, accompanied by Change Agents for the Integrity Zone program Umi Solikatun and Khusnul Daroyah, expressed gratitude for the achievement while emphasizing that it is not the final goal. She highlighted the importance of collective commitment and continuous improvement, especially in the presence of strong competitors from leading senior high schools.
“We recognize that all top 10 schools demonstrate excellent environmental practices. This is an opportunity for us to learn, improve, and strengthen our existing programs,” she stated.
She further emphasized that environmental awareness should not be driven solely by competition outcomes but should become an integral part of the school’s culture and shared responsibility.
“Our goal is not only to win, but to ensure that this culture truly lives and continues sustainably. Through strong collaboration, we are optimistic about achieving the best results while delivering broader educational impact,” she added.
Looking ahead, MAN 2 Yogyakarta remains committed to strengthening environmentally based innovations and expanding their impact both within the school and the wider community. This achievement serves as clear evidence that madrasahs can compete alongside leading schools through consistent, collaborative, and sustainable approaches. (pusp)
