Yogyakarta (MAN 2 Yogyakarta) — A solemn yet spirited atmosphere marked the thanksgiving ceremony held on Friday (February 13, 2026) at the third-floor hall, celebrating MAN 2 Yogyakarta’s achievement of the Corruption-Free Zone (Wilayah Bebas dari Korupsi/WBK) predicate awarded by the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPANRB). The event served as a moment of reflection while reinforcing the collective commitment of the madrasah community to advance toward the Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Zone (Wilayah Birokrasi Bersih dan Melayani/WBBM).
The ceremony began with the resounding chant “Mandaya Digdaya” (Dedication, Integrity, Agility, Discipline, Adaptability, Confidence, and Trustworthiness), reflecting a shared spirit in building a strong culture of integrity. The event was attended by key officials, including Head of Madrasah Education Division H. Sidik Pramono, S.Ag., M.S., and Head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office of Yogyakarta City H. Ahmad Shidqi, S.Psi., M.Eng., along with supervisors, committee members, local authorities such as the police chief, military officers, Babinsa Ngampilan, former principals Drs. Mardi Santosa and Singgih Sampurno, S.Pd., M.A., Head of Administration Isti Wahyuni, S.E., M.M., madrasah partners, teachers, education staff, and students.
In her remarks, Principal of MAN 2 Yogyakarta, Hartiningsih, S.Pd., M.Pd., emphasized that the WBK achievement was not attained instantly, but was the result of a long process involving continuous assistance, collaboration, and unwavering commitment. “Alhamdulillah, this achievement did not come overnight. It is the result of years of hard work, continuous guidance, prayers, and support from all parties. The key to our success lies in solidarity and shared commitment,” she stated.
She also expressed her deepest gratitude to the Minister of Religious Affairs, the Inspectorate General, the Directorate General of Islamic Education, the Directorates of KSKK, GTK, and Organizational Governance (Ortala), the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, the Yogyakarta City Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, supervisors, committees, local government authorities, the entire academic community of MAN 2 Yogyakarta, and all stakeholders whose contributions and support made this achievement possible.
Furthermore, Hartiningsih stressed that the WBK predicate is not merely an administrative label, but a representation of genuine commitment to delivering public services that are fast, friendly, transparent, and accountable. “This recognition is not the end, but the starting point for building a stronger work culture grounded in integrity and quality. We must not stop at ceremonial achievements, but continue to innovate, progress, and excel,” she affirmed.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office of Yogyakarta City conveyed high appreciation for MAN 2 Yogyakarta’s accomplishment, describing it as a significant contribution to bureaucratic reform within the ministry. “The number of work units achieving WBK remains very limited, even less than one percent. At the madrasah level, only a few have succeeded, and MAN 2 Yogyakarta is one of the most commendable. This is an extraordinary achievement,” he remarked.
He further emphasized that the WBK status should serve as a foundation for greater targets ahead. “In the near future, MAN 2 Yogyakarta is expected to achieve WBBM as a manifestation of excellent public service,” he added.
In a similar vein, the Head of the Madrasah Education Division of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Yogyakarta highlighted that the thanksgiving event should inspire other madrasahs. “WBK is not merely a title, but a mandate to improve service quality. The experience of MAN 2 Yogyakarta must be shared and replicated by other madrasahs,” he stated.
He also reminded that achieving WBK should not lead to complacency. “After WBK, there is no room for complacency. Instead, this achievement should accelerate efforts toward attaining WBBM,” he stressed.
This thanksgiving ceremony stands as an important milestone in instilling integrity not only within institutional practices but also in everyday life. With strong collective commitment, MAN 2 Yogyakarta remains optimistic in advancing as an institution that upholds integrity, excels in quality, and serves as a model for educational bureaucratic reform.
